AMD 2500+ übertakten - aber wie?

Hallo,

ich wünsche einen schönen Sonntag Nachmittag zusammen.
Ich würde meinen PC gern etwas schneller machen und bin dabei hier im Forum auf ein paar interessante Dinge gestossen.
Zum einen baut AMD anscheinend nur 4-Kern-Prozessoren(?), wo dann ggf. Nr.3 und 4 "blockiert" werden. Nun würde mich interessieren, wie ich diese freischalte.

Zum anderen bin ich auf das "overclocking" gestoßen und würde gern wissen,
ob sich soetwas bei meinem Rechner lohnt, bzw ob ich ihn damit nicht evtl schieße und wie das ganze funktioniert.

Hallo,

also...AMD produziert nicht nur Vier Kerner,und dein Athlon Xp 2500+ hat nur einen Kern.Da wirst Du nichts freischalten können.
Was das"Overlocking" angeht,kannst Du als leichtere Variante im BIOS den FSB erhöhen.Und die etwas kompliziertere Variante ist den Multiplikator entsperren.Hab das damals mal bei meinem Athlon XP gemacht.Google hierfür einfach mal nach "Athlon Xp L1 Brücke"
