6 monitors on a PC

New member
Hello everyone,,,

I hope I'm right here with my question.

I wanted to connect 6 monitors to a computer.
My computer has only one PCIe port and one PCI port.

The PCIe port has a Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 with 3 monitor outputs. 3 monitors are connected to this graphics card and it works.

When I connect a fourth monitor to the onboard port of Mainboard, the PC recognizes it, but it only delivers an image to 3 monitors. Why?

Today I inserted 2 different PCI cards in the PCI slot, but there was no picture on the monitors that were on the PCI graphics card.

What do I need for a computer so that I can connect 6 monitors? Can I buy a PCI graphics card and connect 6 monitors or do I need a new motherboard? I do not want to play games.

Which other hardware do you have?
which motherboard?
Which CPU?
Which power supply exactly? Manufacturer and model name

Which monitors are they exactly?

Do the monitors have displayport connections?

The onboard graphics will be disabled if a graphics card is installed.

More than two monitors require a graphics card with Displayport connections.

Two via HDMI / DVI, the rest via DisplayPort.

You can also connect to a display port up to 4 monitors, but the monitors must support daisy chan so also have a display port input and output own.
