Die Jury und das Publikum haben sich entschieden: Die Gewinner der gamescom awards 2015 stehen fest. Hauptsieger ist Star Wars Battlefront, neben drei Jury-Kategorien konnte der Shooter von EA und Dice auch den Publikumspreis abräumen. Auch Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain ist mit zwei Awards sehr erfolgreich. Unter 174 Einsendungen wurden die folgenden Spiele als Sieger auserkoren:

  • Best Console Game Sony Playstation: Star Wars Battlefront (Electronic Arts)
  • Best Console Game Microsoft Xbox: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Konami Digital Entertainment)
  • Best Console Game Nintendo Wii: Super Mario Maker (Nintendo)
  • Best Role Playing Game: Dark Souls 3 (Bandai Namco Entertainment)
  • Best Racing Game: Forza Motorsport 6 (Microsoft)
  • Best Action Game: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Konami Digital Entertainment)
  • Best Simulation Game: Forza Motorsport 6 (Microsoft)
  • Best Sports Game: PES 2016 (Konami Digital Entertainment)
  • Best Family Game: LEGO Dimensions (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment)
  • Best Strategy Game: Unravel (Electronic Arts)
  • Best PC Game: Star Wars Battlefront (Electronic Arts)
  • Best Mobile Game (incl. Handheld, iOS, Android, Windows): Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes (Nintendo)
  • Best Social / Casual / Online Game: Super Mario Maker (Nintendo)
  • Best Online Multiplayer Game: Star Wars Battlefront (Electronic Arts)
  • Best Hardware (incl. Peripheral): HTC Vive (HTC)
  • Bestes Indie-Spiel: Cuphead (Studio MDHR)

Damit liegt EA mit insgesamt sechs Auszeichnungen auf dem ersten Platz. Dahinter folgen Konami und Nintendo mit je 3 Awards. Als letzter Hersteller der mehr als einen Award gewinnen konnte nimmt Microsoft den vierten Rang mit zwei Auszeichnungen ein. Damit liegen auch in 2015 die Publisher und Entwickler mit dem größten Budget vorne, zumindest beim Publikumspreis darf man wohl davon ausgehen dass hier die Marketing-Abteilungen ganze Arbeit geleistet haben.
