Im Internet ist eine kuriose neue Grafikkarte aufgetaucht: Die sogenannte XFX Radeon HD 5970 Black Edition. Offiziell vorgestellt wurde sie von XFX bisher nicht, daher liegen auch keine genauen Produktinformationen vor. Klar ist jedoch, dass es sich hier wie bei jeder HD 5970 um eine Dual-GPU Grafikkarte mit zwei Cypress-Chips handeln wird, die Taktraten könnten jedoch aufgrund des Namenteils „Black Edition“ höher als bei anderen Hemlock-Karten sein.

Bekannt wurde die Karte durch ein Angebot auf Ebay: Die von einem amerikanischen Verkäufer angebotene unveröffentlichte Grafikkarte steht momentan bei einem Preis von 10.500 US-Dollar und wäre bei erfolgreichem Verkauf die teuerste jemals gehandelte Grafikkarte....

Haben das andere Grafikkarte hersteller eigentlich auch schonmal gemacht?

hmm total unsinnig oder nicht ?

warum käuft man sich nicht einfach 4x 5870 und OCed die ? ist man billiger weg und hat mehr Leistung!

Naja wahrscheinlich ists einfach nur eine Art Selbstbestätigung von XFX dass sie die beste GK haben dies gibt.. :

und unterscheidet sich diese 5970 nur durch den Takt von Modellen anderer Hersteller ?

der Preis ist ja weniger wegen der Leistung so hoch, sondern wegen der Exklusivität....

Sowelche Grafikkartes werden dann bestimmt von sammler Nerds gekauft und verpackt nur zum angucken ins Regal gestellt.

ich denke mal dass es eine begrenzte stückzahl von denGrafikkartes geben wird bzw. wird die Grafikkarte wohl mehr als "nur" 2048mb GDDR5 ram grafikkartenspeicher haben.

ähm das mit der 5970 black edition stimmt, hab ne mail von xfx erhalten, dass denen wohl eine abhanden gekommen ist, ist aber wieder in eigenen reihen kann euch den inhalt gerne rauskopieren:

bin beim "black-edition-club" oder wie die heißen angemeldet, zwecks support für meine gtx260.

scheint ein wirklich genialer werbegag zu sein, weil so ganz echt klingts ja nicht

Die Grafikkarte an sich ist nicht "so" teuer und wird wahrscheinlich nur so um die 1000€ kosten, genau wie die Mars damals. Der Preis bei Ebay ist so hoch, weil es die offiziell gar nicht gibt und irgendwelche neureichen Leute damit angeben wollen, die zu besitzen. Oder irgendjemand richtig krank übertakten möchte und hofft, dass das damit besser als mit einer normalen 5970 geht.

Sehe ich genauso. Auf anderen Seiten gibt es riesige Diskussionen, wie der Typ es wohl geschafft hat, daran zu kommen und ob er nun in den Knast kommt oder nicht, dabei ist das Video doch wohl eindeutig ;-)
