Ich kenne es von früheren Betriebssystemen so, dass man das PAE (Physical Address Extension) in der boot.ini aktivieren konnte.
Nun finde ich bei WIndows 7 keine Boot.ini und kann somit auch kein PAE aktivieren.

Kann mir nun einer sagen, wie ich bei Windows 7 die Phycial Adress Extension aktivieren kann?

In den Systemsteuerungen -> System stehen bei mir nämlich "RAM 4GB (2,99 GB verwendbar).

Es steht auch nirgendswo warum das so ist.

Ich denke, es wird bei Windows 7 32bit analog sein. Außer "4GB+ RAM Unterstützung gibt es für den normalen Kunden schließlich keinen Grund für 64bit-OS.

Unter "workaround" ist eine Lösung genannt. Die hängt aber z.B. vom Chipsatz ab
